So.. a forum thread about someone who was spoofing his gaming guild by claiming to be a girl. Which led to someone making this post:

I was in a crappy mood, and that just pissed me off, so I responded with (even though really, I should've known better than to feed a troll):

I reeaaally appreciate the level of either badly thought out joke (I hope) or terrible misunderstanding and lack of comprehension about homosexuality in your post.
My guess? He pretends to be a girl because people DO tend to be nicer at times to players they perceive to be female. Easier to cheat guildies that way.

What a fucking joke. Ok, so maybe though, I am going to give the benefit of doubt. Maybe I am the ONLY person who could have and would have read that first post as being a gaybash/insult. So I have posted the following:
Other words were misspelled, and I have NEVER seen that spelling before when not being used by some idiot who is in fact trying to BE insulting, plus the way you in general posted/phrased the rest of the post made it sound like an insult.
I apologize if I was overly militant, I'd had a bad week/day in other forums dealing with stupidity, and I really did read that as an insult of the same nature as I've found on my other forums and on LJ.
As to you being homosexual, I hardly would have known/guessed. So it did sound like a gaybash after having had to deal with forum trolls and threads revolving around a certain Kansas evangelical etc.
As to me being homophobic.. uh.. no. I doubt I would have been insulted/upset by thinking it was being used negatively in a post where one talked about someone posing as a girl as 'maybe being ghey'.
So I am sorry for the misunderstanding, though I still think the context sounded very bad.
Yanno. I feel like shit for apologizing over this in a way, but I just don't want to turn things into another fucking flamewar.
But seriously... yeah.. because I thought some guy was insulting homosexuals by claiming some loser might be gay as a reason for him BEING A LOSER... obviously, I am homophobic!
So.. do I laugh about the sheer illogical fucked-upness? Or do I cry for all of humanity?
