last night was amazing.
the audition was top-of-the-line unbelievably great. I joined the band, they're exceptional mastermind musicians. I've been playing their demo since they gave it to me and it gives me chills every time I hear it. I don't mean to brag, but I did really well with them. My vocals were warmed up and strong, and it just flowed beautifully with their riffs. I was a powerful force, something primal that hadn't been unleashed until last night. Their melodic metal pounded through the PA and I went all out on the mic. For a first run-through, fresh, never hearing their music before and trying anything with it... the result was something far more powerful than I could have anticipated. When I walked into the studio my heart was pounding adrenaline at levels most extreme sports athletes undertake at the height of their game, then the music began, and I was immediately teleported to a place without limits and it was there that the four of us created the first steps taken by a new-born beast, released into the wild atmosphere that evening. Something unseen stirred the air. Even writing this I'm pumping double-pace heart beats and thinking about what we tapped into I see that the potential in this force is overwhelming. Let it live long and flourish within the unatainable. Round two begins now.
Then I went out with a bunch of friends, stayed at my friends apt and had an all night non-stop party. I'm still tired but ready for round 2.
