What? Why not? I was walking to work earlier today with my umbrella up. It kept the snow out of my eyes, and periodically, there would be an avalanche coming down all around me. It was awesome!

If you walk around a lot you use an umbrella. Commonly used in Japan and especially in big cities like Tokyo where walking for 15 to 20 minutes to get to a location is considered "just down the street"... I have to admit, I've done it before too :)

But then again, things fly here in Japan that doesn't in the US. Like guys wearing leather fanny packs or carrying what, in the US would be considered, a man purse... But they're handy!! :)
