Lament for a lost IPod

I just got the boxes which were supposed to be holding my IPod, however, in one of my boxes was part of my order (an IPod case), and in the other box was someone else's order- not my IPod.
It's a rough, rough world.
They (Apple) tell me that they are going to try and figure out what happened and then fix it. They were very helpful actually.
I'm sad.
