Lazing in the sun

I popped down to Somerset on Sunday to see my brother, Martin, who's back on a flying visit from Beijing. We spent Sunday afternoon sitting in the garden drinking wine with my folks, and Ang and Jane, members of the Kingston Art mob, all of whom had crashed round after a wedding on Friday up at Quantoxhead.

Me and Martin got into a grass fight with the young lads from across the road, which ended up in the triumph of youth (mainly through persistance).

Then we spent the evening and much of the night sitting on the garden (in different places) drinking more wine. It was all dreadfully civilised, and really quite nice. I had today (monday) off work as holiday, so was able to chill out very pleasantly today - waking up late and having a long drawn out lunch (although at one point we thought our neighbour's sheep had escaped from our field.

Martin had brought back some of his space eskimo stickers and DVDs of his VJing from beijing. He'd worked with Hospital Records on a drum and bass night over in Beijing, and all the footage looks amazing.

Martin's coming down to Bristol on Thursday, so we might have to have a bit of a BBq that evening. Anyone's who's bothered to friend me here, is of course cordially invited.
