Dear Cadence Weapon,
Your people couldn't get my people into the show so I went to MSTRKRFT and Headman at Spin Gallery and it is now in my top five concerts of this year. I'm so serious, it made me so happy.
It was in the equivalent of a highschool gym and the vibe, early on in the night, was like a highschool dance. But a German highschool dance. It was so fucking rocking I have to write it down.
It was, let me explain Dr. Salinas, as rocking as the Van show because every single person was dancing and by 12:30 it was so packed on the dance floor you kept bumping into them and I missed you so much not dancing with me but we've already talked about this for two hours on the phone...anyhow, Cadence, it was wild, and not only were the mix-ups good, the vibe in there is what made it so amazing.
It wasn't some stale over-exposed bullshit at The Boat, or worse, packed with pretension. Everyone had a smile on their face and MSTRKRFT is almost as hot as David Miller, who I met at the Spacing Magazine party the night before because I was volunteering.
MSTRKRFT plays with Shit Robot on June 10th and I'm so psyched.
DFA rock on. Cadence, rock on. I hope there will be a next time, Cadence, I really do.
