(no subject)
So the story begins. I visited the bike shop, Riverfront Cycle, to be exact, on monday to see if some parts came in and to say hi. There was another dog in the shop besides the owner's mountain dog. It was a pitbull mix and cute as heck. It was a stray they found in the morning when the shop opened. The pulled him inside and tried to feed him but he wouldn't eat. He is super nice and a little sick. Plus, his ears were really swollen and red and he kept itching them. On top of all that, he stuck REALLY bad, but I petted him anyways. When he wasn't following people around, he was sleeping on the mat in front of the counter. I stuck around to help them figure out what to do with the dog. The thought Animal Control was closed but I called them back and got ahold of a deputy. They picked him up at 6pm and took him to the shelter. I really wanted to take him to the vet and then home to his new home but the big bad Olivia was very stern on not having another dog. So off goes the cute little pup to the pound. Since I cannot have him, I want to find him a good home. I have contacted 3 pitbull rescue groups and none have returned a call or email. I contacted the Lansing Area Humane Society but the dog doesn't have that much better of a chance of making it out of there alive. I have kind of made it my mission to help him but time is running out. He has until saturday morning. I have very few options left. So if you know someone who might want him or you want him, please get ahold of me. He is small right now, probably around 20-25 pounds and gray-ish brown in color with a big pink nose and bright green eyes.
