"My Vote Doesn't Matter"

For those of you who have ever thought your vote didn't matter, a few fun figures:

Currently Missouri has gone to McCain by a margin 5,853 votes.

Currently the Alaska Senate race is separated by 3,353 votes.

Currently the Minnesota Senate race is separated by just 571 votes.

Agreed. There is never a valid excuse for not voting -- that's why the sheer volume of people who got out and voted this time makes me happier than Obama winning.

There were TWO Methuselahs. Not sure which one you're talking about...

The first hasn't voted for a while, it's true, but I haven't seen anything about the second's voting record, aside from the obvious fact that she was previously barred from doing so.

At any rate, I think it's a good story. I don't hate the millions of voters who got out there for the first time tonight, my mother among them. They all broke free of something, whether apathy, or despair, or ignorance, or distrust of the government. I love all of them for finally seeing the light.

Either one. Any of the stories.
My thinking is if all these people would have voted 4 or 8 years ago, maybe htings would have been different.
Maybe not, but we'll never know b/c they didn't vote.

So IS there a story somewhere that says that the second woman voted for the very first time? I've looked, but I only see the same story copied and pasted everywhere.
