my truck is funny. she should go be a stripper to maintain her predilection for money.
the 40-point inspection they did last time showed up with $2000 worth of repair work. i did the necessary things for about $600. this one, it was all new problems, with only $1000 quote. i really need to fix a few things (the belts and battery are shot), but on the other hand, a quick fix might work fine on some other things. i wonder if gluing this hole shut on the cv tube will work. oil pump leaking? yeah? i'll just keep putting more oil in it until i get it fixed. all in all, i can probably get away with only $300 worth. . . most of it supplies.
i used to have major car repair bill panic. the lady i was talking to said, "You need to do these repairs or you are going to lose your truck." i laughed. if i can be amused at this whole thing, it will be fine. silly truck.
