I'm BACCKKKK
OMG! I dont think I've ever been so frustrated as trying to drive thru NYC! I got to Newark NJ fine, I had absolutely no problems there. We decided to check in and then head into NY. It took me forever just to get to the Holland Tunnel, then into Alphabet City because me daughter who is a huge RENT fan wanted to have lunch at the Life Cafe, very kewl place but dark. Waitstaff was awesome though! THAT was to be the easiest part of our entire trek. Every street seemed like it was one way going in the opposite direction from where I wanted to be and finally I just headed back towards the water which brought us into the middle of Times Square....YIKES... a SEA of people everywhere and taxis up the butt! I covered my eyes at one point while I was sitting in the inevitable traffic and watched this person on a bike which carries passengers fly up beside me and almost faceplant into the taxi in front of me!
After we finally got out of Times Square I started trying to find the holland tunnel and ended up WAY off base and we traveled thru Statin Island back in Jersey, took the treck too far and had to back up about 10 miles....SIGH!! We WERE going to go in NYC again this morning but I feared much the same results so we headed back and I managed not to get lost until I hit Boston and being so tired I missed my exit and wound up in Boston! SIGH!!! But Im home and we had alot of laughs...next time, I take the train in, spend the day and hoof it!
