Ransim bought the cat a new toy, it attaches to a door frame and has a long dangly elastic cord with a mouse on the end of it. Cat went apeshit over it and between the time she put it up and the time we went to bed (about two or t hree hours) he had managed to tear the cord four or five times with Ran retying it each time and it getting progressively shorter.
Obviously a 22 pound mostly muscle viking cat shouldn't be playing with an 8lmb kitty toy.
But as we readied for bed Ran tied it up one more time and stepped back to watch the cat in action. He batted at it once, twice, pounced on it drug it to the ground put his paw where the cord met the mouse and than used his teeth to cut the cord.

Cat is way to smart for his own good. I did see him this morning with it, he would pick it up with his mouth by the cord than bat it around with his paws pouncing all over it like it was trying to get away from him.
