i only wish this wasn't true.
today after work charlie & i were waiting at the post office downtown for tina to pick up us when out in front, some dude rolled up in a car with southern flags all over it. ok. nothing new. well.. he spent an abnormal amount of time shuffling through papers before finally darting out and into the lobby....
.... wearing a hoodie with a huge swastika symbol, a kkk hat and this is the banger... the hoodie was covering the upper half of his body leaving the bottom half adorned in kkk dress exposed.
um. ok. keep in mind, yeah i do live in the middle of pa... but state college. aka, the post office was basically full of asian and black peeps while i was there. so, irritated, i followed him in and out on his various rounds (he was too chicken to actually come in, sort his mail, THEN go back). i went outside to the bench to wait for tina while he was in his car. then when back inside and stood next to him when he went back in. obama buttons on my bag and all. with charlie. my resident white man.
and yeah, i wish this wasn't true or is an exaggeration. i know it seems crazy to see a kkk member just waltz right on past. i was certainly surprised- it's not exactly what i want to be greeted with after a nine hour shift. lol
the funniest thing of all? when tina came to pick us up, she laughed. when she worked at the weiss market across the street, she actually worked with him. he's a bagger/one of those cart guys. he still works there now actually. rofl
