um you thinking about out of state schools?
you might want to consider searching for film schools online in your state
it's pretty easy to find the type of school you may be looking for

also, go to collegeboard.com
and use their college match search engine
it will give you some pretty good schools, i guess

SVA , NYU, UCLA Film School....here is a good link :http://www.imdb.com/filmschools

I guess I can see the point your dad makes about college. Do you not like the curriculum? why do you want to transfer? If anything, you can go to another school for your masters.

i do like the curriculum and the school i attend now...in that they offer a wide range of classes..wheras a strictly art school mightonly offer art classes, but i still feel i want to try out the art school scene, plus the film classes here suck. i want to go to a more centerted school on film.but then again, my dad says that how can i get a job with a film/art school degree, i am also considering going to f.i.t for advertising design and taking film classes on the side b/c as my dad says and i know for a fact it makes a lot of sense: you dont need to go to film school to be a film maker. but i dunno, i kinda feel that you learn special techniques and skills in a centered school.

North Carolina School of the arts

I would really look into it.

From what I heard they are a really good school. I wanted to go there in the 9th when I was interested in film but since then I've changed my academic interest.

SUNY Purchase.

+I hear it has a great film conservatory, and I know from experience that is has a great art program

- White Plains is boring as a mofo.

+It's 40 minutes and $13 to NYC
