It was mostly because of the song they used. IT WAS PERFECT. Keane has like a direct link to me tear ducts.
But seriously, Winnie the Pooh was my childhood. It was both of my younger brother's childhoods. (For god's sake, one of them named their dog Pooh Bear.) Now my baby sister loves Winnie the Pooh. She makes me sing the old theme song, every day. (Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood, where Christopher Robin plays...) It spans countries, generations, has touched MILLIONS of lives. Check out the comments on this video. Everyone says it just like reliving their childhood, and there were barely any people who didn't say that they cried.
I've read the books, I've seen the shows, the movies. Winnie the Pooh shall be with us, giving our children, and our children's children, a very happy childhood.
