Disappointed with how Alanna's bond with Rand served absolutely no purpose whatsoever. It seemed like she was put into the cavern as an afterthought, and to give Ny something to do besides charge Callandor. She should have released the bond books ago. She contributed nothing to the Last Battle, not even as an interesting obstacle.
So, did Slayer matter? AT ALL? Why was in this series?
And did anyone else forget about Padain Fain? I thought of him briefly during a Mat chapter, and realized he hadn't shown up, and the book was almost over. Then he shows up, with a new name, and then - dispatched! That's it? Did *Sanderson* forget about him? He did nothing! What a waste of a subplot.

She never got to collar Tuon. And Tuon never channeled. I hope the now pregnant bitchcunt has a sparker child who blasts her good.
I was right about Olver and the Horn, and Birgitte's restoration. Of course she returns just in time to save Elayne. Dammit. Elayne is unscathed and inspires her people by playing with a sword.

Taim was ultimately a disappointment, a cartoon cutout. I had hoped we would learn he turned Dark because Rand treated him so shabbily, something which Rand reflects on concerning Lamedred. Now we will never know. And thanks to him. Egwene died.
I did not expect Logain's moment of glory to be the breaking of the seals. That was a surprise.
Alivia has yet to do anything. Same with Cadsuane.
