It was too funny getting an email from LiveJournal saying that
azuzora has NUDGED me for not updating! We can do that? XD
We did catch up and BOY DID WE HAVE A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO! I was in Singapore and I ended up spending the day just loitering around some department store in Orchard mindlessly typing into my BlackBerry replying emails to
azuzora while my mother shopped. Then she snapped saying that I've been walking around like a zombie on auto-pilot all day and DEMANDS that I put the device down, so our e-mails got somewhat cut off :( We need to catch up more, Aki-chan!!! RANT FIESTA IS HARDLY EVEN DONE!
Ah, being a CrackBerry. Almost everyone close to me is a CrackBerry now. The closest three:
totoro79,
nenekguru and Nicholas are all CrackBerries. It's kinda true what my friend once said: "Nokia is no longer connecting people. BlackBerry is." I landed in Jakarta today and apparently Nicholas was stalking me on SameCell so he knows I'm back in the country, and I asked him: "So did you miss me?" And he said: "Errrr but we chat every single day?" SO TRUE. It's like
totoro79 is not even across the ocean. It just felt like she's somewhere in town, but just too busy to hangout, but is CONSTANTLY in contact every hour every minute.
My dad is a CrackBerry too. Just about everyone else in my other friend group has turned to the dark side: David, Alex, Astari, Nana, Deni, Wowo, and our latest CrackBerry addition is Harumi. It won't be long now until her resistant husband joins (he's not even resistant anymore, he's just setting up a ploy to get his company to pay for his BlackBerry!)
I had a lot of fun in Singapore too! I wish I could've seen
totoro79 everyday but my parents were around, and her parents were around. But we managed to catch a movie together, and the most awaited was seeing Lea Salonga in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, which I enjoyed VERY MUCH! All the while watching I was trying to SUPRESS my cynical jaded self to NOT EVEN RUIN THE FAIRYTALE MOMENT BY THINKING SUCH BULLCRAP DOESN'T REALLY EXIST IN THE REAL WORLD. Yeah, all those love at first sight, prince marrying a kitchen maid doesn't really work that way... but I guess it's nice to see these kinds of shows coz it kinda brings back a little wee bit of your romantic self :) Anyway, Lea Salonga was awesome, and she looks exactly the same (if not younger) as she did when she came to my college! (I need to dig up that photo I took with her) I'm sure
totoro79 has a photo with her too heh heh XD
Anyhoo, I need to catch my Zs now as I have to return to hard labor tomorrow *GROANS*. Just back and I'm already scheduled for full day meetings *GROANS LOUDER*.
AND I NEED TO CATCH UP WITH
sadame TOO!!!!!
Oh, Happy New Year too! I hope I can fulfill at least ONE of my resolutions this year. Ha.
