....so I have someone to screech with in times like these, YEAH TIMES LIKE THESE WHEN I JUST WATCHED YET ANOTHER WHOA!OMFG EPISODE (during office hours heh heh) LIKE THAT ALSO WHOA!OMFG SEASON 3 FINALE!!!!!
OMGWHAT so the island is a time warped zone?!?!!! I know they kinda showed that about 2 episodes ago when that wobbly dude Faraday kinda did an "experiment" where someone from his boat launched a satellite-controlled mini-rocket to his exact coordinates and it arrived LATE than scheduled but I didn't quite get that coz I don't think I'm very sharp nowadays -_- but OMG 4x05 made it VERY FREAKING CLEAR TO ME NOW:
20 MINUTES IN REAL WORLD TIME = ONE WHOLE DAY IN FREAKY ISLAND TIME!!!
And there's like this freak storm cloud that kinda marks the "border" between real world timezone and freaky island timezone? We saw that storm cloud when the helicopter people came to the island, and now that it's flying back from the island to the boat, carrying Desmond & Sayid in it, we see that same storm cloud again. And APPARENTLY, there's also this direction route they must follow whether it's COMING IN TO or GOING OUT OF the island. Which is North, 305. If you miss that angle by half a degree or something, it could send a poor unfortunate soul (in this case, DESMOND) into a confused quantum leaper!
WTF?! I'm so confused, mind-boggled, and yet IN SUCH AWE at the same time! Poor Desmond had his 2004 consciousness one minute, then the helicopter swings off its course and suddenly DESMOND got time-warped into 1996 back when he was in the army barracks! I thought it was just the usual LOST-esque flashbacks but NO APPARENTLY, IT IS NOT A FLASHBACK BUT FREAKIN' TIME TRAVEL!!!!! He got booted into 1996 and he was doing pushups when suddenly he got booted back into 2004. Except that IT WAS STILL 1996 DESMOND CONSCIOUSNESS IN THAT 2004 TARZAN DESMOND BODY! And so he freaked out! (Well if I was him, I would to!)
I thought he'd snap out of it at the end but no, the entire episode he keeps leaping back and forth from 1996 to 2004 and back. 5 minutes in 2004 = ONE HOUR in 1996. Woah. WTF. So Desmond talks to 2004 Faraday, and he was sent off to meet 1996 Faraday, who told him all this quantum leaping WILL KILL HIM because apparently if it happened to you, your consciousness will get so freakin' confused by the time difference your brain eventually short circuits and YOU DIE! ...unless Desmond finds what Faraday refers to as "A CONSTANT", meaning, a similar element that exists in both timelines, so his brain can differentiate which year he's at? And TO NOT DIE, Desmond must be able to MAKE CONTACT with this constant AT BOTH TIMELINES. Confused. Shrugs. And Desmond's constant is no other than PENNY!
But OMG this is like, THE BEST EPISODE OF LOST EVARRRRRRR!!! It's confusing still, yes, but the whol episode was just soooo gripping, with Desmond meeting 1996 Faraday and telling him what 2004 Faraday told Desmond to say... chasing after time while leaping from 1996 and 2004 to hunt for Penny's number so 2004 Desmond can CALL HER FROM THE BOAT AND NOT DIE. That was so freakin' awesome and I was literally on the edge of my seat with my mouth hanging open THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. And I almost cried when Desmond finally got to call Penny from the boat, that was too sweet. "I love you Penny." "I will find you, Des. I promise." OMG. Love that transcends time and space. Desmond Hume and Penelope Widmore. Who would've thought LOST could be THIS ROMANTIC? XD
But still confused. Where did 2004 Desmond go? I mean it's been 1996 Desmond going back and forth between 1996 and 2004 and being hella confused, so where did 2004 Desmond consciousness go to? Did he just VAPORIZE into thin air in the storm cloud???? I'm too freakin' baffled right now and I know everything I just wrote here screams nothing but SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER to those who haven't watched, but oh hell, nobody here follows LOST anyway... and those who kinda do, like tomatoe18, always wants LOST spoilers from me anyway, right? XDDDD
