Ippudo SG

Ramen Rangers @ totoro79 & @ nefretiriii goes to Ippudo SG to compare their ramen to our fan favorite, Ramen Santouka at Central.
Verdict:
  • Place is too posh and modern. I like my ramen places small, cramped and more traditional.
  • It's perfect, location-wise.
  • Service is great, they're friendly and do not employ problematic attitude even though it's jam-packed.
  • Broth is okay, but tastes a bit bland, especially the Shiromaru.
  • Akamaru is tastier, but only because there's a glob of miso in it (and other stuff)
  • Tamago is too well-done and tasteless :(
  • Ramen is too thin for me, between spaghettini and angel hair? I like thick, fat ramen I can chomp on.

So as @ totoro79 said, we go to Santouka for the meat, Marutama for the tamago, and we return to Ippudo only when we're way too lazy to haul our asses to Clarke Quay.
And that is the Ramen Rangers' final word. Over and out.
