I Have A True Blood Tag?

Jul 26, 2009 17:25

That's weird. I actually have a True Blood tag, but there are no entries for it.

Did my LJ suddenly had a mind of its own and automatically create the tag for me because I seriously did not remember ever creating one for myself?

I started out not being the biggest fan of True Blood, but I did keep watching from Day 1 when it first started on HBO. Well, I download of course, instead of watching the pathetically bleeped and censored one on Cinemax Asia.

Despite I wasn't too crazy about it, I kept watching anyway. It was kinda hard swallowing the Southern hillbilliness of the show, it being set in super hillbilly Bon Temps and all. Funny how I didn't have a problem swallowing Friday Night Lights' southern-ness. I guess Texas is my preferred Southern state? XD But seriously though, True Blood is seriously hillbilly that I end up referring it repetitively as the Oh mah stars show.

But Season 2, OMG I guess LJ knows how much I've enjoyed Season 2 that it automatically created a True Blood tag because LJ knows, it'll go into a lot of use. I swear, Season 2 is SO FUNNY!!!

First, I love the addition of Jessica Hamby. She was already introduced nearing the end of Season 1 as Bill's punishment as dictated by that creepy Magistrate. And OMG, she was so freakin' annoying back then! But I absolutely love how she brings such great humor in her father-daughter relationship with Bill. Seriously, I think she truly drives Bill up the wall with her rebellious antics. I *LOVE* every single one of her scenes with Bill. Everytime Bill goes, "Jessica, I COMMAND you to __________." followed by Jessica screaming gibberish in frustration, I laugh like craaaaazy.

Too funny.

And plus, I think Jessica Hamby is so adorable! Like, she's the perfect tantrum-throwing rebellious teen vampire. Definitely a great addition to the cast and the plot.

Eric Northman is another one whom I'm seeing in a whole new light now. Previously he doesn't have much of a role except as the Sheriff of Bon Temps, and with that incident at Fangtasia that pretty much tied Sookie to an agreement with Eric. Plus, I hated his Viking hair back in Season 1. I thought he was a boring character and he wasn't even all that gorgeous, but in Season 1, when he mangled that poor dude in the basement and then crouched over to Lafayette to ask, "Is there blood in my hair?" and turns out he was getting HIGHLIGHTS done in his hair! OMGWTFROFL ERIC.

And then he made Pam go scour the swamps in her favorite pumps to search for Lafayette.

And then Eric asks Bill if he liked his new hair (Yes, Eric I like it very much too) and the shopkeeper (who was hitting on Bill) thought they were gay. LMAO.

And then Sookie meets a fellow telepath. OMG HILARIOUS.

And the Dallas vampires, Isabel and Stan, are sarcastically hilarious!

Hmm. Vampire-hating church annihilated. Wonder who did it.
FUCKING BRILLIANT!
-Isabel

That has got to be my favorite. I kept watching it over and over again, that scene in ep 5 where Bill, Sookie, Eric, Isabel & Stan stood around in the room and argued like little children. Ha. Ha. Ha. OMG. I love True Blood.

And let's not forget the horny preacher's wife when she tried to make a pass at Jason by giving him a bath hand job!

Sarah: Mary Magdalene washed Jesus' feet, and dried them with her hair.
Isn't that lovely?
Jason: ...wasn't she like, A HOOKER?

WHAT A TYPICAL JASON STACKHOUSE RESPONSE! I swear, Season 2 made me laugh so hard every single freakin' episode.

Although that Maryann chick really creeps me out though, but I'm utterly intrigued at what exactly is her endgame by tailing Tara non-stop. It's greatly amusing how she can just jiggle her mojo and the whole town of Bon Temps goes into an sexual orgy XDDDDDDDDDD And somehow I feel there's something "off" about that shifter Daphne. What throws me off is that 3 claw scar on her back. Was that just some random scar she got while she was shifted into a deer form? Or was that a scar from the same thing that attacked Sookie? But how could she have survived it? Was it her biological state of being a shifter means she heals faster than humans or what? There's just something off about Daphne.

You know, after Eric Northman got that haircut of his, I think I was so smitten because he suddenly looked like a clean-shaven Viking version of Josh Holloway (Seriously! Am I the only person who thinks so?) I IMDb'ed him straightaway and found out that his name is Alexander Skarsgård.

The first thought I had when I saw his name was: "Hmm. Any relation to Stellan Skarsgård?"

Whaddya know? He is the son of Stellan Skarsgård! If you have no idea who Stellan Skarsgård is, he was Bootstrap Bill in Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and one of the 3 fathers in Mamma Mia. He's quite a veteran in Hollywood and I think I first knew him way back when in Good Will Hunting.

Alexander, son of Stellan Skarsgård, is Eric Northman. How amusing!

Episode 6 is out tomorrow. Thank God for Entourage and True Blood in this dry spell of TV shows.
