Wow, I haven't posted in a month.
Let's see, what have I been doing? Um, still not employed. Waiting on my income tax refund so I can pay my car off and pay some bills.
Aubra & I rescued two puppies last month. Or I should Aubra since he has paid for everything. Someone dumped them off on the property of a co-worker - or they ran away - and the guy was going to have to take them to the pound. Whoever had them before apparently mistreated them. They took to me quickly, but were still wary of Aubra up until about a week and a half ago. They're German Shepherd/Chow mix and both female, sisters. We've named them Kes & Kira. (If you're a geek and noticed those were both Star Trek characters, you get a cookie! lulz!) They're *gorgeous* and so sweet and smart! Ah lurve dems! XD They learned their names super quick and Aubra has them house-trained already. They've also learned to sit and lie down and Aubra has also taught them to sit at a polite distance from their food bowls and wait like good girls while he fills the bowls. They will be the most beautiful and best behaved girls in the whole neighborhood! Haha! :D
Aubra had to go to the doctor today. He got an ear infection about 2 1/2 months ago and didn't go to the doctor then. (read that "wouldn't go to the doctor 'cause he's a stubborn stinker!") Finally, he went to a GP, who referred him to an ENT. We had to wait a month for this appointment. The doctor looked in the "good" ear and noted that his ear drum is sucked up against the bones and then proceeded to pull several wads of dead skin and goo from his bad ear. The ear drum in that ear has a huge hole in it that covers about 15% of the ear drum. So, later this month, they'll be putting tubes in both his ears and patching the ruptured ear drum.
So that's been February. Oh! For Valentine's Day, Aubra gave me a HUGE bouquet of gorgeous flowers, a sweet, wonderful card, AND cooked me a tasty dinner! :D
