Some F-List Appreciation, and a Few Icons
The more stories I read by my friends, the more certain I become that at least one of you (or all of you, if I had my way) will be published. I mean, seriously, I was going to point fingers and name names, and then I realized that, really, everyone I talk to on LJ is someone I consider a really good writer. Which is just awesome. *hugs you wonderful, talented people, you*
I grew up with my sister, and about two good friends, for kindred spirits. Neither of those friends really took the same path in life as me, making it really hard to do more than chat on a superficial level with either of them anymore. My sister, imbecamiel, was--and definitely still is--my best friend, who understand me better than anyone else. Which is kind of a miracle, considering how often we were annoyed with each other when we were younger. All of which has nothing whatsoever to do with what a stereotypical bratty kid sister I am could be. ^^
But, looking around here, I just realized what an additional "embarrassment" of riches God has given me in friends who not only share a lot of my interests, but also my love of writing. And not just writing on a superficial level, either, but down to the process' angsty, perplexing core. (You know how to interpret both happy and miserable flailings! You're all so much Win.)
Anyway. Not to wax too sentimental, but I just wanted to say how awesome you all are, and how wonderful it is to know there's a place to come and talk about the roller-coaster ride that is the writer's life. ;3
That said...I've made a few icons for one of my favorite un-published books!
