gale force winds

Jan 10, 2005 12:50

in london and its been so fucking windy that I could swear I've been in chicago, that and have been almost blown-over a few times, including practically in front of a bus. fantastically, johanna and i met up on saturday (first time seeing her since the end of may), had dinner, and relived roomate-ness when she slept over my hotel room so she wouldn't have to return to the cold of her unpack dormroom. Have been running from bookstore to bookstore like a mad woman attempting to track down obscure books. And yesterday, on my way home, ran into Donna and two of the girls on her program just outside the tube at oxford and tottenham. We had a lovely, albeit damp and windy, chat to catch-up since her birthday party in august and hopefully, they'll be able to join johanna and i for dinner on thursday night before I return to Firenze the next day. AJ, Winnie, Blake, and whoever else might be here because I can't keep track of where everyone is right now (surprise me!) please try to come and join us for dinner, I'd love to see you even if it is only for a few hours.

Yeah, was supposed to be going back on saturday, but since zain is leaving for who knows how long on the 20th, I changed my flight to friday and he's picking me up at the Pisa airport. Am rather looking forward to spending an hour in the car with him instead of with a cab driver. We've been talking almost every night for round about an hour but, any tiny bit more of time I can spend with him, the better.

well, enough procrastinating, I must hop over to the library and re-bury my nose in a book!

ciao, ciao

P.S. oh, right last monday, matt (one of my sister's best friends from boarding school) made his first broadway appearance. He is now one of the dancers in Chicago! And (fingers-crossed) we should be hearing today how steph did in the call backs at steppenwolf, that is if she'll be working opposite john malkovich, I'm so nervous and I'm just the little sister, I can't imagine how she feels.
