Finding a new job

Mar 01, 2004 20:18

I woke up an hour later than I wanted to today.  My alarm didn't go off at 5:20 like it was set to do.  I woke up on my own at 6:30 instead.  I missed my pilates class.  It rained all day today, just like it does every day.  I have a Chem exam Friday.  I have a Trig exam next Friday.  I hate college.

I went job hunting today.  I have an interview at The Buckle Wednesday at 3.  The manager at American Eagle is going to call my references tomorrow afternoon.  I put in apps at Gadzooks (mistake), and Olive Garden ( I don't want to work there, either).  I am dropping off some apps tomorrow at Copeland's and EB Games (next to Target).  I would like to work at EB Games.  That would make me one of the coolest chicks ever, right?  Okay, probably not, but it would be a cool job.  The shopping center the game place is in is like my little slice of Seigen Lane.  It is next to a Target, Petco, Dress Barn (hehe), Olive Garden and some other Seigen-like things.  I love it in that little shopping center.  I miss Baton Rouge.

I wouldn't mind working at American Eagle or The Buckle, either.  Both stores give employees a 50% discount.  How cool.  The only thing is, they prefer you to wear their merchandise.  It helps 'em sell it or something.  Cushy mall job for me.  :)

That is pretty much the extent of what I did today.  I talked to my momma and to Jered today.  Not for long, though.  I think I may go to bed early tonight and hold off on the studying until tomorrow.  I could use the rest.  I am very sleepy tonight.  All the walking around the mall, I guess.  Bleh.

Tomorrow I have to call the AO Pi president (Amanda), and get her to go with me to sign my bid card.  Then, next Monday, I'll be pledged in to AO Pi by the girls.  Hooray for me.  That will make me a pledge, now.  After that, I'm still not sure.  I don't ask questions for fear of seaming like a moron.
