I just can't seem to quit you.

This is the most I've ever written on one story and, at times, I feel like I'm looking at a big field of tall grass at eye level. If I get up above it, the picture is clear, the events follow in a somewhat logical fashion... I even have a beginning, middle, and end. Right now, I'm just struggling with scene beginnings and ends, transitions, etc. I know what I want; it's in my head, but I figure I've got another 4000 to 5000 words to get there with almost exactly one month to do it. As it is, my story will probably be the only one in the fest with no art (because there's no way I'm making that deadline). I'd thought about making a cover myself but that's out the window now. I mean, I've only had 8 months to write this thing. I started in January, I should so be finished.
I guess the upshot of all this whining is: please send creative vibes, cheering, shoulder punches, whatever. Also, if you see me frittering around on LJ, please immediately tell me to get my ass back to work!
