Unplugged

I am back from a blissfully unplugged vacation.  While away, I discovered this: I love being unplugged.  I did not even remember I was unplugged until I came home and plugged in again.  And then it all came back -- why it is SO important to do this.

I plugged out of the portal that connects me to virtual friends and virtual communities and virtual bill-paying and connected to the stars and the sky and the sea and the amazing, glistening architecture of spiders.  I re-learned the rhythms of the people I love.  Paid attention to whatever was neglected.

But, alas.  A new year begins.  A return to hectic schedules, early mornings (*gasps* no more sleeping in!), and homework.  Now, with beach sand still in my wallet and the smell of the sea still in my towels, I hit the ground running.
