I actually don't really have a thing to say about No Man's Land that other people haven't said better, but I also watched Allies for the first time on Saturday

My plot bunnies are always up for grabs. I can't guarantee that I won't try to write it myself, but if I did, it would probably look completely different from whatever you would come up with, anyway. So if you want it, I'd love to see it written by you!
Well, that point is clearly the point at which he falls into Sheppard's arms or vice versa. =P
But there is not enough angst yet! I can't write things where there's no angst. Hm.
Maybe Rodney falls for him, and then finds out about that conversation between John and Ronon, and is all hurt and pissed off -- "So all that sudden niceness was just for the safety of the mission? Well, fuck you very much, Sheppard!" -- and is all hurt and pissed off at himself because he took all that stupid flattery seriously, and really, he's too old and smart to still be that needy.
And John is kind of annoyed at himself, because while he meant every word, it did take Ronon to make it clear to him that he should actually say them, but more annoyed at Rodney, because he didn't even know about Rodney's feelings and doesn't understand why he's taking it quite this hard. It's not like Rodney doesn't know that he's smart and valuable, after all.
BTW, friended you, no obligation to friend back, just an FYI
Welcome! I can't friend back right now, because I'm a little bit obsessive about always reading my entire flist and it's almost too big already with all the time that damn internship is taking up, but I usually check out the journals of my "friend of" people whenever I have some extra time, too.

Ooh, I like that. I'd love to see you write it.
And Rodney's all, "I thought all those compliments were because you actually liked me."
And Rodney's all, "I thought all those compliments were because you actually liked me."
Mm, yes. But of course they actually were meant seriously, and John's kind of gotten in the habit of telling Rodney when he's proud of him, so he still praises him a lot more than he used to.
And Rodney's all pissed and "Stop it, Sheppard, maybe you didn't notice, but I've seen through your little game -- you don't have to worry about me betraying mission secrets to the next alien scientist who looks at me kindly," all hurt and acidly, and then Sheppard gets annoyed right back at him, because he still doesn't know what's up with all the overreacting.
But Rodney is mostly just pissed at himself, because now that he knows that Sheppard was just lying back and thinking of Atlantis all the time while he thought they had something really good going there, or at least some honest mutual admiration and respect, even if that wasn't quite all that he wanted, he really shouldn't still be feeling all glowy and grateful for every kind word. Pathetic much?
And possibly Rodney (almost) messes up a mission because he keeps snapping at the alien's chief scientist every time the guy tries to flatter him, because now he's gotten kind of paranpoid with compliments, while the poor guy actually has just an harmless crush on him.
I probably will. I just can't guarantuee yesterday, or even tomorrow, I've got just too much work right now. But the plot bunnies, they are biting, and they will not be denied forever. *g*

Lots of angst potential there.
