Two funnies today
First one:
IM with my boss this AM:
Boss: I just wanted to make sure that wouldn't get your panties in a bunch
Me: Don't worry, I'm not wearing any
*g* I made myself snort out loud with that one.
Second one - I was trapped in my parking lot at work by hordes of rabid Wiggles fans. Not surprisingly I had never heard of these people before, but apparently they decided to grace Ottawa with their presence. My office building is located in the parking lot of the Corel Centre, their venue for not one, but two shows today. At 12:30 I'm looking out my window, slightly puzzled but the Corel Centre staff parking lot filling up. I knew there wasn't a game, and it was too early for them to be showing up for concerts.
At 2:45 it is mini-van gridlock! I'm not sure why or how 10,000 parents decided that showing up 15 minutes before the start of the show that your three year old really wants to see was great planning, but we could not get out of our parking lot, and they could not get into the show without a minimum 20 minute delay. I'm surprised we couldn't hear the wailing in the office. The traffic didn't clear until 3:30. I was planning on leaving early, but was really low on gas, and actually thought I would run out of gas waiting for some crazed parent to be considerate enough to let me through the line - yes, so I could go in the opposite direction of where they were headed. Because, you know, if they aren't sitting 3 inches from the stationary vehicle in front of them, it might never move again.
