My Opinion
Men who want you to change your life for them, don't really support you. They are supporting what you will do for them. They don't want you to feel the contentment and fullfillment of a career, they just want another income to help them live in the style in which they would like. They don't want you to be successful, unless it does not take away from your time taking care of their needs, their goals and their desires.
It is few and far between but there are men out there who support what their ladies desire and will support the career and life choices of women. Slowly the next generation is getting it. My generation missed the boat, plane, train and automobile. But someday we might get it with a walker or wheelchair. I'm not holding my breath.
