TIPA Awards and SPJ
So last week I mentioned the awards from the TIPA conference in San Antonio. I didn't have an actual list of the awards I won personally at the time, so here it is now:
1st in Opinion Page Design
1st in Information Graphic Design
1st in Best Headline
1st in Sports Page Design
3rd in Page One Design
3rd in Feature Page Design
I won the most from our school, and they said that's what got us sweepstakes. Finally, somethin' I done got recognition.
We also faired really well at the Society of Professional Journalists Awards. Our newspaper got first place in the region (beating out all other schools in Texas, Lousiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma -- That includes UT, A&M, OSU, et al.) ... So now, we're going to Nationals.
