********Cam P.O.V (Twin)********
"what the fuck is going on here" i asked Ange as we hid behind our car trying to go unnoticed by Sophie and Sian, "doesnt Sophie have a boyfriend, like a really fit one, with an amazing smile" Ange explained as she practically started to drool at the image of Sophies boyfriend in her head, "I thought so too" i replied snapping her out of her dase. As soon as we couldnt see Sophie and Sian anymore we jumped into the car and began driving.
"So what are we gonna do?" Ange asked as we pulled up outside our house, "I dunno, but we cant let this go on, Sophie will get distracted and so will Sian, then we'll lose our best players" i stated as Ange nodded knowing aswell that this was exactly what was going to happen if we dont stop it. "IVE GOT AN IDEA!!" i screamed with excitement, "what, what, what" Ange asked running into the kitchen, "Just follow my lead sis, we needa get Sophies number then head back to the stadium ok?" i asked as she nodded "Dad will have it" she smiled devilishly as she ran for our fathers phone, this plan is amazing, it cant fail i thought to myself, people may think we're doing it to be mean, dont get me wrong i like Sophie and Sian, me and Sian have been friends for as long as i can remember, but i cant risk losing them on the team especially now that were in the final, they need to be fully focused on the game and if that means they cant even be friends so be it. But with Sian i think she likes Sophie more than a friend but Sophie has a boyfriend does she not? but at the same time the way she looks at Sian tells me different, and they way they were acting on the feild tonight tells me that there if definately chemistry between them. Well anyway Sophie will not even want to look at Sian after tonight, i feel a bit bad but it has to be done.
********Sophie P.O.V********
"so where we going then" i asked as Sian began to giggle uncontrollably, I looked at her confused trying not to laugh but she was making it hard, her laugh is infectious, "what are you laughing at ya nutter?" i asked as her laughing had started to subside, "Your irish accent is just so cute" she smiled shyly as i laughed and nudged her side playfully, "and were going for ice cream" she smiled as she grabbed my hand and led me into a small shop, "Two tubs please" she asked handing the small man a £10 note, "You didnt have to pay you know" i stated while she handed me one of the tubs, "I know, i wanted too" She smiled as we exited the shop.
We had been walking and talking for a while now, just telling eachother about our lives, "So what about your parents?" she asked softly, i had told her everything apart from the bit about my parents, "Well my parents are still together, they had a rough patch where my dad cheated on my mum, but they won the lottery and all that just seemed to have gone away, and now they are as happy as ever" i said as she nodded and smiled. Sian was about to talk again when my phone began to ring,
I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing
Just prayed to a God that I don't believe in
Cos I got time while she got freedom
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't break even
"Really? thats your ringtone, you defo are irish" sian laughed as i smirked and answered the phone, "Hiya... Cam?.... Yeah.... Why whats up?... Ok ill be there in 5... See you then.... bye" i said as i hung up the phone. Sian looked at me with a confused expression on her face, "Who was that?" she asked softly whilst reaching out and touching my arm, "Cam, she said i needa go to the stadium now" i replied confused, she took the phone out of my hand and began typing something in "whataya doing?" i laughed as she smiled and handed me back the phone, "now you have my number babes" she winked playfully as i laughed and we began walking back to her car, "Come on i'll leave you to the stadium" she said as she opened the car door for me to get in, we made our way to the stadium and she pulled up in the car park. "Do you want me to wait?" she asked as unbuckled my seatbelt, "no thanks, look thanks for tonight, it feels good to have a friend here" i smiled as she mirrored it, she leaned over and kissed me on the cheek, "No problem, text me and let me know you get home ok? ill see you at training tomorrow" she said with a cheeky wink as i exited the car, she beeped the horn as she drove off, god this girl is amazing, i thought as i entered the stadium.
"Sophie?" i heard someone call out in the dark stadium, "Whos there?" i asked as all the floodlights suddenly turned on, jesus what the fuck is this a horror movie i thought as i seen the twins approaching me. "Jesus you scared the shit outta me guys, whats up?" I breathlessly said as i clutched my heart thinking i was going t have a heart attack. "Sophie we need to talk to you" Cam replied with a sympathetic look on her face , "why whats going on?" i asked slightly worried as to what was going to come next.
The twins led me into the changing rooms as we all sat down on the benches, "You shouldnt be friends with Sian Powers, or anything else for that matter" Ange stated in a serious tone, "What are you talking about?" i asked, "We see the way you look at her Soph, shes bad news we had to warn you" Cam interjected, ok so they think that i fancy Sian, do i though? yes shes stunning and yes everytime she touches me i get electric pulses through my whole body, OH HOLY CRAP I DO LIKE HER!! i thought as Cam cleared her throat to get my attention again, "Sorry go on" i said as Ange began to talk again, "Soph, shes a player, she trys to get with everyone, shes tried it on with everyone on the team, even us" Ange said softly, jesus is what they are saying really true, is Sian really a player, ok she was very flirty, but she seemed genuine didnt she? "Please soph, stay away shes bad news, we dont wanna see you get hurt babe" Ange and Cam both said in unison, Maybe they were right, maybe i should just stay away from her, she seems like real bad news according to what they are saying and they seem really genuine, they're just looking out for me. "Thanks guys, but nothing is going on with me and Sian anyway" i said softly not even beleiving the words myself, "I knew it, you have a boyfriend anyway dont you Soph? that fitty, Conn is name is isnt it?" Ange said wiggling her eyebrows as i smiled, "Yeah i do, conn is the most amazing boyfriend" I smiled as did Ange and Cam. When we were finished our conversation Ange and Cam offered me a lift home, which i kindly accepted rather than getting Conn out of bed.
"Looks like someone decided to come home" Conn said as he spotted me creeping in through the front door, "Jesus Conn" I said clutching my chest again for the second time in one night, "I thought you'd be asleep" i laughed as he leaned against the door frame, "Well then, you thought wrong babe, how could i sleep without you being in?" he said as i laughed at his soppyness, "You wee sop" i laughed as he launched the pillow he was holding in my direction. I walked into the kitchen to get a bottle of water, i took out my phone and debated on whether to text Sian back or not, i decided not to and headed upstairs to bed as i have training at 6am. I showered and climbed into bed to find conn lying beside me, i burst into fits of giggles, he really is so random at times, "I need to tell you something, i need a favour" i asked as he nodded listening intently on what i was about to say....
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP
My alarm clock woke me up at 5am, i rubbed my eyes and released myself from Conn's grip and made my way into the shower. I descended from the shower to find Conn had woken and was probably down stairs making e breakfast as we speak, "Soph, breakfast is ready" i heard him shout, see i told you didnt i? I walked downstairs to the smell of bacon, i know he loves to cook anal but he knows i hate bacon, "you know i hate bacon Conn" i laughed as he giggled as well "Theres cheese and toast for you moody, i know its your favourite" he winked placing a plate infront of me "I could get used to this" i laughed as i kissed him on the cheek and tucked into my breakfast.
We arrived outside the stadium again, Conn again insisted on taking me, i swear that boy does not understand the word 'NO' but god love him, hes amazing. Just then i was hit by a breathtaking sight, i seen Sian walking into the stadium, her hair was blowing with the wind and her smile was as radiant as ever, i think she seen me as she stopped at the entrance, I got out of the car as did Conn, we walked around the front of the car, "text me when you need picked up" He said giving me his best smile, which i returned, he pulled me into a hug and as we were pulling away he crashed his lips onto mine, my only instinct was to reciprocate and kiss him back, i broke the kiss and he smiled at me, as i laughed, i turned to see Sian with back to us entering the stadium, i said goodbye to Conn as he got back into the car and left the stadium, which i was now entering.
I was the last one to enter the changing rooms as everyone was now making there way out onto the feild except one person, Sian and I were alone in the changing rooms in an awkward silence. "So what did Cam want last night?" Sian asked breaking the awkward silence, "Nothing" I replied a bit to coldly, but it had to be done, i couldnt let myself fall under her spell, that she has apparently used so many times. We then remained in the awkward silence until i tried to exit the room, Sian grabbed my arm again sending shivers down my spine, "Soph, have i done something wrong?" she asked softly, how could i resist her, the sparkle in her eye where i knew she had tears threatening to fall, "We cant be friends, im sorry" i say softly as i cup her cheek give her a gentle kiss on the cheek and leave.
I came out onto the feild and started doing warm ups, Cam came over and offered to be my partner which i gladly accepted, we had been doing drills for a good 20 minutes, when Sian finally descended from the changing rooms, her eyes were red and puffy and i could tell she had been crying, i felt so bad knowing i caused that, it physically hurt my heart to see her like that, but i couldnt let myself get hurt by her, she was a player, ive had to deal with one of them before and ill never go back to that. I did the only thing i could at this point, i walked over to the coach, "Sorry but, i quit, i cant play anymore, im sorry" i said before walking back into the changing rooms to get changed....
