traffic

so this weekend i travelled on the 5 on saturday (to go celebrate my b-day) and on the 110 on sunday (to visit a girlfriend from college) - and both times i hit major traffic. to the point of being parked for like a half-hour each time. in the middle of the day on weekend days! i know this is not breaking news that there is traffic in southern california. and it doesn't personally bother me that much. like i don't get road rage or anything. i just sit through it. but it got me thinking: at what point are we going to start thinking about alternate modes of transportation? like how soon is this going to lead to a decent public transportation system in the greater la area... and ppl actually using it? or how soon will ppl start owning planes for every day travel? or will ppl just lean more towards the motorcycle thing? or... will we just continue to suck it up and waste more and more of our lives on the friggin' freeway?

while i was sitting on the freeway, i also started thinking: i probably just need to get comfortable in the lj space before i can start writing about interesting stuff. wanna make sure i won't be eaten alive for my "outrageous views."

also while on the freeway, i got to thinking, i should really go to georgee's. so i went to georgee's today for the first time in like a year and thought of you tron. it was super yummy!

ah, what i think about while on the freeway. i guess this just all demonstrates what a simple mind i have. but simplicity can be a good thing, right?
