A message in the woods [RP for ban_fathach]
The woods around them were silent except for the sound of the two wolves breathing. Their howls of pleasure chased all but the bravest creatures far away and those precious few certainly weren't going to make their presence known for fear of ending up the way the deer had.
The larger, white wolf lay on his back, breathing more slowly as he drowsed. The smaller gray licked absently at his belly. She still considered the idea of moving her tongue lower to wake at least part of him, but for the moment she was content to rest with him. At least they could be themselves in the wood, unlike in their train compartment. Soon they'd go back, headed to a danger neither of them understood.
She whined softly and set her head on his belly a little harder than she meant to.
