Unlike the rest of the world they had found themselves in. April shook her head trying to concentrate on the surroundings, she felt wary and though she was fine with Keiki as a Kirin as a person he sort of, brought down the mood. A lot. More than Lightning had even, and April felt a pang of fear, her friend was still a cat. A very angry cat who was sat back at headquarters and would probably hiss at April for going out scouting without her.
"Me neither," she responded, "Hope so, deadly rain was getting a little tedious after all!"

That wasn't Ms. Ryan's fault, of course. He nodded, belatedly, at her comment; even more belatedly realised it had been a joke; and finally he offered a smile so faint it might as well not have been there at all.
"We should return to the others."

"What's the chance the others have found some real food, like I dunno... a burger bar transported." She grinned, she was just making conversation, she didn't even know if his world had such things, "I mean if the jedi temple can be brought here through the rifts, why can't decent food!"

"The chances are not high," he said, doleful. After all, he could see the towering forests in the distance; it was a given that he wouldn't starve, but he could hardly say the same for the rest of his companions. "Foodstuffs will spoil quickly. Additionally, what one world thinks of as food could be poison to the inhabitants of another."
