Iskierka has been a little more open lately, since venturing out on the lawn and not finding herself shot at or stabbed at or anything of the like, and is currently swooping in lazy circles over the lake. However, eventually she lands, a little awkwardly, on the opposite shore of the lake, gulps down a few large mouthfuls of the water - and then ( Read more... )

Galadriel was not looking to meet the dragon today - but when she spots the large and scaly princess by the lake, she pauses, sighs inwardly, and waits to be noticed.

She's -- apprehensive, for once.

Dragons aren't exactly known to be allies of the Eldar, after all.

Dragon has just accidentally put her head too far underwater and is now snorting out water and shaking her head like a very large horse with a fly.

Until she notices Galadriel, and quickly attempts to look dignified. "What are you looking at?" She demands to know.

"You," Galadriel replies - her tone is carefully neutral, controlled. She's shaking inwardly - talking to a dragon was never on her list of things she hoped to do one day.

She can't keep the visions of her brother's bodies, burnt to ashes.

She snorts out another cloud of steam, shakes her head again, and settles back on her haunches, taloned paws curling and uncurling like a cat. "Well, of course," she says, "I meant, - oh, never mind. What are you here for? To talk to me?"

"To know you, yes," Galadriel replies, not stiffly, but still carefully. "I have been told of you and your feats - and of your knight. I am the Lady of Lorthlorien."

That is, for now, all the introduction she will give - names have power, and she's still gauging Iskierka.

Iskierka lifts her head, clearly proud of herself. Her deeds, she likes that. "Did he tell you? Tristan is a very good champion." On the other hand, this is a pretty female, from what she can tell... she frowns. "You aren't another mate of his, are you?"

That... almost makes her laugh. Or scoff. Mating with an Atan. Now, that would be... just no.

"No," she replies, "I am mated elsewhere." Wait, no, what are we doing talking about my love life?

"I am Elda, and have heard of you through my adopted son. I wish to hear you tell of your feat."

Her feat! Iskierka likes that even more. She turns her head and preens, just a little. "Well," she says, with extremely false modesty. "It wasn't much, reallly. It was hardly difficult."

"Then tell me," she replies, and stays where she is, standing, a respectful distance away.

She's feeling out for deception, trying to get a sense of this formidable being.

"I just blew fire at him," she says, nonchalantly, "And he went away. I didn't get hurt. Tristan did, a little, but he's getting better."

Galadriel supposes this is her knight she is talking about. "And so you sent the Enemy back to the void," she replies quietly.

"What then?"

Small wonder she's had darker dreams, of late.

"Then I flew back here to get Tristan some help," she says, proudly. "And that was all."

Galadriel is still trying to sense if there is anything dark in her, and nods.

"And that was all."

As if she'd gone on a simple errand. Oh dear.

Would Iskierka read as a monstrously huge lizard to Galadriel, or?

"Yes," she says, firmly. "As I said, it wasn't very hard."

Probably - an intelligent, sentient lizard, but she's definitely not evil. Selfish, and a little petty, but nothing more.

Oh Eru. Not really a dragon, Galadriel concludes, though she bears the name and the appearance of one. She was not made by the Enemy, she can feel that much.

"Eru," she whispers. And looking up at her, she says, "Will you fight him again?"

She shakes her scales, her spikes, and flashes her teeth, breathing steam out of her nostrils. "Yes. If he comes back I will beat him again. He told me a lie. And made me hurt people."
