Although there was very little that Sherlock cared about besides work, he did care about technology. It was possibly just a sign of snobbery, but he cared that he had the latest laptop and the fastest mobile. He liked knowing that when he wanted information, he could always get it.

Which, he decided, was what was so frustrating about John's laptop. It was slow, probably because of all the flash he used to upload things. Stupid things that didn't mean anything, like videos of cats jumping into boxes. How could he possibly find that amusing?

Sherlock determined that with the time lapse in speed, the time spent waiting for the loads would've been 45 seconds longer than it would've taken to get up and get his own laptop from the bedroom. But, of course, it would take another 20 seconds of lapse time to make up for the energy spent doing that, and then he could properly get frustrated.

Then again, he was spending a good deal of energy reading his latest emails. They all seemed like a rather extraordinary waste of time. Except one.
