MCA #0: Monday night

Apparently the weekend -- exits and entrances, expected parties and unexpected reappearances, applause and explosions, and... brunch, as you do -- had finally caught up with Xander, because he was nursing one of those hide-behind-the-eyepatch headaches. He'd already taken something for it, but that was just keeping the dull throb from creeping out

After Alec's party, a slightly buzzed Bridge- still with the paper umbrella tucked behind his ear- finds himself at Xander's door. So he knocks. Like you do.

Xander winces a bit, since the knock sort of sounds like it's coming from inside his head, but gets up to go answer the door. He smiles when he sees who it is, though. "Hey."

"Hi," Bridge says, grinning back. Though the grin fades a bit as he gets a good look at Xander. "You okay?" he asks, concerned.

"Just a headache." Xander shrugs. "I'll live." He eyes the umbrella. "...unless I'm hallucinating. Then I might have get myself a second opinion."

[bridge_carson]

Bridge reaches up to touch the ear with the umbrella-decoration somewhat self-consciously. "Isabel told me I was supposed to." Of course, she'd also admitted afterwards that she was joking, but he doesn't add that.

Xander raises an eyebrow. "Before sending you over here? What did she say it was, a mating ritual?"

[bridge_carson]

"Noooo, she just said after I finished my drink it was s'posed to go in my hair," Bridge clarifies.

[needsaparrot]

"Weird alien custom?" Xander suggests.

[bridge_carson]

"Maybe?" Bridge says. "She didn't really explain. Um. Is there- can I do anything, to help with the headache? Help make it better, I mean? Not worse. Do you want me to stop talking or to talk quieter or... something?" he frets.

[needsaparrot]

Xander shakes his head. "You're fine. You could come sit with me, though - light from the tv tends to make it splodey, so it's not exactly the most exciting night around here."

[bridge_carson]

"I can do that," Bridge says, stepping inside.

[needsaparrot]

Xander leads him back to the couch and flops down. "So where were you when Isabel stuck umbrellas in your hair?"

[bridge_carson]

"Caritas," Bridge says, settling on the couch next to Xander. "Alec hadda party... thingie."

[needsaparrot]

Xander eyes him with a grin. "And you hadda thingie with an umbrella in it? Or two?"

[bridge_carson]

"It was green," Bridge supplies.

[needsaparrot]

"This is your criteria for safe and healthy substances to injest?" Xander snickers.
