That was about when a knock sounded at the door.

"I'll get it!" Bridge says, jumping up before any of the kids do.

"Hello?" Bridge calls out as he opens the door and... doesn't see anyone there. Until he, on a hunch, glances down.

And sees a tiny kid with gloves. Oh. Well. He really, really *hopes* this is his and Z's kid, and he doesn't have another one out there. "Uh, hey. You... wanna come in?"

Toby flung himself at Bridge's legs. "Daddy! I found you!"

"...Hi there," Bridge says, because there's really not a lot you *can* say to that. "Um. Weird question. Who's your mom?"

"Officer Z Delgado-Carson," Toby told Bridge. "Silly Daddy."

[bridge_carson]

"Oh, good," Bridge says. As weird as the concept of having a kid with Z- Z! is, at least this means there's not *another* potential future offspring of his wandering around Fandom at the moment. "Wanna let go of my legs so we can go inside?"

"...What do you know about alternate dimensions?" Bridge asks as he takes Toby's hand and leads him in to the living room with the others.

"...they exist?" Toby tried.

"That's a good start," Bridge says. "Sometimes stuff happens differently in different dimensions. Like, I guess in one dimension, me and your mom had you. In others, we um. Didn't. Do you have a name, by the way?"

Toby thought about how to answer that for a moment. "Technically? No."

"..." Bridge hadn't been expecting that. "Then what do we *call* you?"

"Toby," said Toby. "'Cause of I'm To Be Decided, see?"

"To Be... right. Um. You wanna meet your sorta-siblings?"

Toby looked very confused. "But I already met them, Daddy. They're at the school and Mommy's making them take showers but I don't have my shower gloves."
