first injection
[The first thing Shilo notices is the sunlight falling over her face.
She hasn't opened her eyes yet, but the light wakes her and warms her and turns the inside of her eyelids a foggy orange. She frowns and rubs her face.]
Dad...?
[There's no answer. Shilo opens her eyes and sits up.
It takes only a few horrified seconds for her to realize that this isn't her bed.
It's not even her room.
This one is pink, and bright, and has dolls.
Shilo screams.]
