i saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" the other night... made me think of some things.
if you could erase memories of the past... would you? would you really?
as much as i'd want to... i wouldn't. my memories define who i am and though i'm a far cry from flawless i'd rather not see any parts of me erased. if you knew that something wouldn't work out... would you still try?
From the last lines of the movie (after the main characters have found out they've been in love before and it did not work) -
Joel : I don't see anything I don't like about you.
Clementine : But you will! But you will, and I'll get bored with you and feel trapped, because that's what happens with me.

for a few happy moments i'd go through a million sad. isn't that what it's all about? the moments? the experience? should you even begin to think about skipping anything... just because it's not "perfect"? you can't pick and choose the roads life gives you. you either live or deny.
