11 days til senora aguilar!
alright, i have my red wine, my spring rolls, my laptop, my red chair, and my pandora free internet radio ... TONIGHT I WILL FINISH MY THESIS ONCE AND FOR ALL. it is 6:15 pm and i have only chapter five left ... plus it is already outlined, so i know this is possible. i wanted to publicly announce my intentions because that will keep me accountable.
a few other things ...
my car was broken into in my apartment building parking lot, proving once again that i have literally the world's worst luck with cars. josé and i were outside around the corner when the breaking-into occurred. also we were talking loud, which i know because josé told me to be quiet! they must have been on drugs, because also they didn't take anything except for a silver vase that is not even mine, it is josé's tia's. (also the vase was underneath a sweatshirt so you couldn't see it, thus it was not tempting anyone.)
anyway now my car is in the shop and i am driving a stupid pt cruiser from enterprise. i hate it. it feels like i am driving a cartoon car, it is bulky and weird, and i feel like a dork driving around in it. also today when i was just driving home from the gym, someone tried to cut me off, so i blasted the horn at them, and then the horn would not stop blowing! it just kept going! i pulled off of the freeway and on to a side street with the intention of turning off the car and hoping (to GOD above!) that the horn would stop when i turned off the engine, and then it mysteriously went off. mind you, it was blowing the entire time i was exiting and pulling into a side street, so it was going for a long time. that was bizarre.
also my wedding is in, like, 11 days. whoa. everything seems ready - josé confirmed the cake and the flights, i confirmed the photographer and the florist, next we need to confirm the musicians (me the english speakers and him the spanish speakers) and then this weekend i guess i will go to the restaurant, give the final head count, and pay up. i still feel like i have a million things to do, but things are getting crossed off of the list every day! tonight i hope to finish my dumb thesis, this weekend we want to be finished moving me, and monday is my final exam ... from there it will be basically completely wedding time!
ok ... if i want to meet my goal i have to stop posting to lj. peace!
