While Ryan knew it was a good idea to take the Calculus class, he'd been in a rush to leave almost from the moment he'd arrived. Sitting in a classroom with Marissa and Dairine wasn't really how he wanted to spend today, and while Meg was a good teacher, she was a tough one, too. He was impatient to go, ready to find Lucy.
The morning had been kind of a strange one, waking up with all that satin and rose petal stuff, but it wasn't like they'd woken up as different people. As island changes went, he'd seen worse. He never really was all that sure what to do for dates and that kind of thing in this place, but it looked like the island had done its best to sort all that out for everyone there and Lucy seemed to have the rest covered. All he needed to do just now was put his books in his bag and find her. Flowers were hardly impressive when the place seemed to be covered in them now, but he'd brought some for her anyway, heading up to the Compound with them bundled in his arms. He might have wished he could have pulled together something better, but in the end, cheesy as it probably would have sounded aloud, it was just her company that mattered.
He found her inside and greeted her with a quick kiss. "Hey," he said, stepping back. "You ready?"
