*WARNING! Misery post full of whinging ahead*
You know when you have one of those weeks where you're convinced that all the bad karma you've been staving off finally catches up with you? Yeah, I'm in the middle of one (and it's only bloody Wednesday).
To start off with on Sunday I lost my license (as in misplaced) - I put it in my pocket when we went out for a walk and somewhere between buying a drink and arriving home it fell out of my pocket. I haven't gotten a new one yet 'cause I'm living in the hope that someone finds it and posts it to the address that is RIGHT THERE on the front of it.
Monday - it *poured* and I got soaked on the way to work so spent the day with freezing with cold feet (<--- the worst!).
Tuesday - I find out the small brake problem in my car is going to cost me $600.
Wendsday - my ear is inflamed from the mould of new hearing aid I've been wearing so I have the day off work, before getting my old faithful one out. Which just now (and here's the straw) broke.
Like snapped in half. It's 11pm and I'm sitting here bawling because I feel like a part of me is missing, which really it is, and I don't know if I can get it back. I'm trying to calm down and logically think why this is such a bad thing considering that I have a new one, but it's not the same and I don't know how to describe it. I just got done trialing another hearing aid for a month which I hated (widex) and I told the guy to order me the same one that I had (siemens) which he did and lo! The sound is great, if only he would set it to the sounds that the old one is set to. But the dude just won't frakking listen - it's like he's trying to prove that there are fast, better, stronger models out there - but I just want my old faithful. It worked for me, but now it's dead :(
Gah. I'm sure it can be fixed (fingers crossed) and first thing in the morning I'll take it to the hearing aid repair place and tell them to spare no expense (FFS my bloody brakes just cost $600 and how often do I use them!).
