half way point

Oct 18, 2005 13:47

Today marked the half way point in the voyage. We've been gone 50 days and we have 50 days remining. Just the thought of returning home, not interacting, living, learning, experiencing with all the people i've met... jacqui will go back to New York, Pia will be in Philly, Kim, Matt and Rick in Colorado. Al will be in Pittsburgh, Brandon in LA.

I knew going in that it would be 101 days, bahamas to san diego. I heard that it goes quickly, but i didn't realize until today just how quickly. Going home again, seeing friends and family. But it won't be the same. India will be our fifth port, then we have one day of school, then Burma, then four days, then Vietnam, then two days until Hong Kong and a few until Japan.

When else will i be able to play Jenga at 2300 in the Indian Ocean?

I'm living it up. I have some great stories for you all when i get back.

I am getting so excited for india. I really have do idea what to expect execpt lots of people and something like nothing i've experienced before. I'll update more regularly from here on out, or try atleast.

Hope all is well at home!
