"Light of the world, you step down into darkness - open my eyes let me see ..."
Haven't made an entry in a while I see ... I've been writing in my xanga a lot and just haven't had time to keep up with both. I'd stop using this journal and just use xanga but then I dunno ... where would I post my meaningless surveys I guess. lol. Well, I wrote this poem and posted it in my xanga but I saw it livejournal worthy so here goes nothing:
under substance, under sheets
under covers ... make me weak
fill my soul up; leave my heart dry ... sin or be alone tonight
I’m waking up with nothing left, waking up to you getting dressed
but this thing I just can't stop, comin from my head not my heart
i feel like this with you
you feel like this with me
we feel like this, under our self-inflicted influence
try to make sense of it, can't get control of it
don't know what to think of it
trying to work my mind ... trying to fight my eyes
trying to feel somewhat right
but i feel like this, you feel like this, we feel like this
you hurt like this ... you touch like this
you kiss like this
it's hard to not lose it
i want no more flowers, no more hours spent thinking things that aren't real
now we're sitting and talking, but neither is listening
and we're both just thinking on our next move
entangled and mangled - and morals are falling, and awareness of difference remaining concealed
and we feel like this
wrapped in covers, undiscovered - moving faster
how could I catch my grip? ... this is much more than slip
when it feels like this ... it hurts like this - knowing nothing holds meaning and its all just seeming to feel
feel like this - touch like this - kiss like this - slip like this - fall like this - hurt like this
sun lifts my eyelids to no one beside me and only the headache to soothe
but always in memories of you ...

that's it ... no cool title for it sorry. and yes i kind of stole the line "sin or be alone tonight" from a brand new song where they say "you can sin or spend the night all alone" but i really liked that line and just couldn't help use it. well gnight friends ... i'm tired.
