Mystic Falls, VA | Thursday Evening [FHT]
It was boredom that had driven Jake to cooking that evening. Caroline had taken off on some sort of emergency intervention which he was pretty sure involved some kind of Elena-Damon crisis that he didn't want to know about. Liz was bound to be out for the rest of the evening as she had a late shift, which left him alone in the house.
Alone and hungry, and maybe he could just make some pasta. That way he could eat now, and Liz and Caroline could just heat it up when they got back.
He had no idea when he'd gotten so damn domestic, but cooking was kind of fun and almost relaxing as he had the radio on while he set to work. Really, cooking was a bit like paying rent without actually paying for anything but at least he got to not be useless.
