The riots were a distraction for the police.

I mean, not a bad plan...but I had my concerns about massively pissing off some super powered city that likes to torture us.

I have mixed feelings about it myself, but mostly because I'm new here, and still don't have the best understanding of the situation. That... would be one of them. If it can bring us here and remove parts of us that shouldn't normally be safe to remove, we might want to be a little careful about doing things like that.

On the other hand, it doesn't seem like they were getting very far otherwise. Am I right in thinking that?

Well, it's kinda hard to get anywhere when magical powers keep you from getting anywhere.

At least...I guess that's what this is. Or maybe it's just nanomachines, who knows. But if it's nanomachines...I dunno how they're bringing us back to life.

I knew a guy back home that just wouldn't die...even when we shot him in the head. I really don't believe in this magic crap...but after the stuff I've seen here...I dunno.

Take it from someone who knows about that sort of thing: where I'm from, bringing someone back from the dead's impossible even with magic. Or at least bringing them back as their old self, as if nothing even happened.

That aside, I brought it up because "we weren't getting anywhere just by sitting around" was the reason I got for the riot. I still think what they did was stupid, but... How long have some of them been waiting for a chance to actually do something, I wonder? And how many chances have there actually been? Any?

Sometimes, you have to make your own opportunity.

That's true, but in a trapped situation you've got that, or another possible option.

Which is to wait for an opportunity. It kind of worked both ways with this...the kids got restless and provoked the town...so the opportunity I've been waiting around for might show up.
