[Coquelicot is just on her way to the grocery store. She doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary... yet.]

[Snake's only a few steps behind her, seeing if he can manage to perfectly match pace with her and go unnoticed.]

[Coquelicot's in a pretty good mood! Which might explain why she suddenly starts hop-skipping.]

[IS SNAKE 1) A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO SACRIFICE HIS DIGNITY, OR 2) NINJA ENOUGH TO KEEP UP WITHOUT HAVING TO START SKIPPING HIMSELF?]

[Ninja enough, of course. He ups his pace in order to keep up, making his footfalls as light as he possibly can...though, someone who's skipping is kind of unlikely to hear soft sneaking footsteps.]

[Goddamnit...what's WITH this kid?]

[Coquelicot goes back to a normal walk after a while, and kinda... slows down. She doesn't have her spiritual powers anymore, but she's still getting that nagging feeling...]

[She pauses and looks around a bit before glancing back over her shoulder.]

[Snake walks past her just as she goes to look behind her, smoking his cigarette as he walks.]

[Coquelicot... blinks, paying no heed to the innocent-looking smoker as she looks around a bit more.

[After a moment, she shrugs it off and continues on her way, going at a light jog.]

[When she turns back to face ahead of her, the smoking man is already gone.]

[... okay]

[Okay, that's kind of suspicious. Maybe he just went around a corner or something?]

[Coquelicot is paying a bit more attention to her surroundings now, but she's not in "OH GOD SOMEONE'S FOLLOWING ME" mode yet.]

[Snake has taken to keeping to the alleyways as he follows. This kid was at least interesting to keep track of...maybe he could screw with her a bit.]

[As Coquelicot continues down the street, if she's looking hard enough she'll now find the smoking man sitting in a bench across the street, way ahead of where he had passed her earlier.]

[Okay. Definitely suspicious. Coquelicot's not quite sketched-out enough to directly confront Snake yet, though- instead, she suddenly doubles back and tries going down another main road.]

[After a little bit she's greeted by the sight of the smoking man crossing the road far in front of her and disappearing into an alleyway.]

[Oh yea...this kid's fun.]

[... OH NO YOU DIDN'T.]

[Errand momentarily forgotten, Coquelicot quickly follows Snake and... pauses at the side the alleyway entrance as common sense catches up to her: she doesn't have her powers, and there's something to be said about following strange people in this largely unknown town.]

[... this doesn't stop her from peeking into the alleyway, her pigtailed head appearing from around the side of the wall.]

[There's suddenly a voice right behind her.]

You followin' me, kid?

[It's not hard to tell that Snake is quite successful in surprising Coquelicot. This is mostly because she SHRIEKS AND JUMPS THREE FEET INTO THE AIR before scrambling away and getting some distance between them.]

How did you- weren't YOU the one following me!?

[Snake tries his absolute hardest to suppress his grin.]
