Damn it's hot here...
I'm in Lubbock, TX volunteering at an archaeological dig. It's going great so far. I'm actually digging in Post, TX, but on our weekends off we come back to Lubbock Lake Landmark... where I actually have internet and phone service. ^_^ While I'm up on the mesa at the dig site I can text message... but that's it. I'm heading into Lubbock today to meet up with a friend I graduated from Whitewater with that is working on his masters at Texas Tech. He's going to give me a tour of his dept on campus then we are grilling out at his place with his wife. ^_^ I love having friends all over the place. And on my way home I am stopping in Galveston, TX to visit two more of my friends from Whitewater!!!
Also... all of the other volunteers here are great. We get along really well... of course it has only been one week... we'll see if the camaraderie lasts the whole six weeks in the 100 plus weather. o_O I stupidly took my camera into the field outside of its case and it got a bunch of dust in it... so I can't even turn it on right now... I'll get it fixed and eventually put some pictures up. -_-"
