It turns out that talking to an instant message bot is actually a lot closer as an action to posting into your livejournal than typing into a web form. I first noticed this when I did a phone post, the semi-confessional, talking to your friends nature of the act perfectly mirrored the experience of what LJ-as-community is. I think it's encouraging that not only are they oving to more 'correct' channels of expression but to think of web apps, and social software in general as not being tied down by the tyranny of web forms, no matter how flashy, ajaxy, or webforms 2.0 they are. Let your expression go!
