What do you do when you find exactly the person you want to spend your life doing laundry for and playing toesy with when that person is afraid to care to much about you?

When I was in that position, I wrote him poetry in Old French. It didn't help :-/

(((hugs))) in any case....

Take it as it comes, enjoy what there is, and treasure every moment.

That has been my approach so far. To not wait, but still spend as much time as possible when it is given. And he does always make time for me when he is nearby. It is a celebration, every time.

Stick around until he can't imagine life without you and realizes you aren't going anywhere and it's safe to love you?

:) I like the way you think! That has also been my plan. Slowly but surely, I am making myself indispensible to his well-being, bwaaahhhhaaaa!!!

This weekend he brought his kids to my family's beach house, and we had a great time! We talk about real stuff and we can be silly together. Now it's the school year, though, so he's back to VA with the kids. Lord knows when I will see him again.

Me=pining.

Well, I would walk, 'cause I hate emotionally unavailable men. If he actually wants me, he'll chase me down. If he doesn't, then I'll find someone else. This isn't necessarily the solution for everyone, but I've seen it work with others. I don't tend to get involved with that kind of guy, though.
